Overview

What the Fit'Distance API lets you do, the three ways to call the API and the rules to keep in mind before your first key.

The partner API connects Fit'Distance to the tools you already use: n8n, Make, Zapier, a script of your own, your terminal or an AI such as Claude or ChatGPT. You read your students' data, and you write in every family.

What you can do

  • Read your students, including the ones who left, their programs, workouts, feedback and set results, their check-ins, habits, forms (assignments, submissions and answers), messages, meal plans, meal log, macros, appointments, progress in your courses and coaching phases, and your prospects.
  • Write in every family: students, prospects, programs, workouts, check-ins, messages, forms, nutrition, habits, appointments, courses, documents, tasks. These actions are operations, called with POST /operations/<name>.
  • See the exact list of operations with GET /operations. That call needs no key and costs no credit.

Three ways to call the API

All three use the same key, sent in the header Authorization: Bearer fd_live_xxxxxxxx, and the same operations.

Through MCP, the AI only acts within the scopes of the key, like any other tool.

The rules to remember

  • One key per tool. You can have five active keys at most. If a tool changes hands, you revoke its key and leave the others alone, and the call log tells you which key did what.
  • One credit per billed call. All three draw on the same credits. Four routes are free: GET /me (your key and your balance), GET /openapi.json (the contract of the API), GET /operations (the catalog) and GET /events (the events of your webhooks). You can read GET /openapi.json and GET /operations without a key.
  • A pace per key. 10 calls per second and 300 per minute, including at most 60 writes and 20 deletes per minute. Beyond that, you get a 429, which costs nothing.
  • Scopes. When you create a key, you tick what it can read, write or delete. It never goes beyond that.

Choose your door

To get started

  1. Create a key in the app.
  2. Make your first call: it is free.
  3. Understand keys and credits before you connect a tool.

Every route is in the reference. The full contract is in openapi.json, and llms.txt summarizes it for an AI.
