What is the Stomach Vacuum?

The Stomach Vacuum is an isometric exercise that targets the transverse abdominis muscle. It is essential for strengthening the core and enhancing abdominal control, leading to better posture and stability. Suitable for all levels, it is often used by fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders to shape the waist while focusing on breathing.

How to properly perform the Stomach Vacuum

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Take a deep breath in and then exhale completely.
  3. While exhaling, suck in your stomach as much as possible, imagining that you are trying to touch your belly button to your spine.
  4. Hold this position for a few seconds while continuing to breathe lightly.
  5. Release the contraction and repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
