What is the Banded Tricep Extensions?

The banded tricep extensions are an excellent isolation exercise that targets the tricep muscles. This exercise effectively engages the triceps, making it ideal for those looking to improve arm definition and strength. It's easy to incorporate into any training program and is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.

How to properly perform the Banded Tricep Extensions

  1. Attach a resistance band to a secure anchor point above your head.
  2. Hold the other end of the band with an overhand grip, arms extended overhead.
  3. Keep your elbows close to your head and your upper arms stationary.
  4. Slowly lower your hands towards the back of your head, bending at the elbows.
  5. Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement, feeling the stretch in your triceps.
  6. Extend your arms back to the starting position, squeezing your triceps at the top.
  7. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
