What is the Banded Upright Rows?

The banded upright rows are an effective exercise to target the shoulder and upper back muscles. Suitable for beginners, this exercise requires only a resistance band, making it convenient for home or outdoor workouts. It helps in building shoulder strength and stability while improving posture.

How to properly perform the Banded Upright Rows

  1. Stand on a resistance band with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hold the band with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
  3. Keep your back straight and core engaged.
  4. Pull the band upwards towards your chin, leading with your elbows and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  5. Pause at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the band back to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
