What is the Cross Body Crunches?

The cross body crunch, also known as the criss cross, is a core exercise aimed at strengthening the abdominal muscles, particularly the obliques. Ideal for both beginners and advanced practitioners, it's a versatile exercise that helps improve core stability and definition.

How to properly perform the Cross Body Crunches

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Place your hands behind your head, elbows out to the sides.
  3. Engage your core and lift your upper body off the floor, twisting your torso and bringing your right elbow towards your left knee.
  4. Simultaneously extend your right leg out straight.
  5. Lower your upper body and bring your right leg back to the starting position.
  6. Repeat the movement, this time bringing your left elbow towards your right knee while extending your left leg.
  7. Continue alternating sides for the recommended number of repetitions.
