What is the Decline Push Ups?

The decline push ups are a variation of traditional push-ups that effectively target the upper part of the chest muscles and the shoulders. This exercise increases difficulty by elevating your feet, engaging the upper body more intensely. It's great for improving upper body strength and can be done at home or at the gym.

How to properly perform the Decline Push Ups

  1. Place your hands on the floor slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and position your feet on an elevated surface, such as a bench or step.
  2. Keep your body straight and engage your core.
  3. Bend your arms and lower your chest towards the floor, keeping your elbows at a 45-degree angle.
  4. Push through your palms to extend your arms and return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
