What is the Hanging Knee Raises?

The hanging knee raises are an intense strength training exercise that primarily works the abdominal muscles and hip flexors. Commonly used in advanced training programs, they help to strengthen the core and improve trunk stability. They require good grip strength and proper technique to avoid injuries.

How to properly perform the Hanging Knee Raises

  1. Hang from a pull-up bar with your arms fully extended and your palms facing away from you.
  2. Engage your core and lift your knees up towards your chest, bending them at a 90-degree angle.
  3. Pause at the top of the movement, squeezing your abdominal muscles.
  4. Slowly lower your legs back to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the movement.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
