What is the Lateral Band Squat?

The lateral band squat is an effective exercise for targeting the leg muscles and glutes. This exercise is ideal for strengthening the lower body while enhancing muscle stability and control.

How to properly perform the Lateral Band Squat

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and place a resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees.
  2. Lower your body into a squat position, keeping your chest up and knees aligned with your toes.
  3. While in the squat position, take small steps to the side, maintaining tension in the resistance band.
  4. Step to the side for a few steps, then return to the starting position by stepping back to the other side.
