What is the Reverse Grip Barbell Curls?
The reverse grip barbell curl is a variation of the traditional curl that targets the biceps from a different angle and also engages the forearms. This exercise is particularly useful for balancing the development of the arm muscles and improving grip strength.
How to properly perform the Reverse Grip Barbell Curls
- Stand upright with a barbell in your hands using an overhand grip (palms facing down).
- Keep your elbows close to your sides and your upper arms stationary.
- Curl the barbell up towards your chest while contracting your biceps.
- Hold for a brief pause at the top, then slowly lower the barbell back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
