What is the Single Arm Cable Crossover?

The single arm cable crossover is an excellent exercise for targeting the chest muscles. It allows for maximum chest contraction through the use of the pulley, and works each side individually for balanced muscular development.

How to properly perform the Single Arm Cable Crossover

  1. Stand in the middle of a cable machine with the pulleys set at a high position.
  2. Grab one of the handles with your hand and step forward, creating tension in the cable.
  3. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart and your core engaged.
  4. With a slight bend in your elbow, pull the handle across your body and down towards your opposite hip.
  5. Squeeze your chest muscles at the end of the movement, then slowly release and return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, then switch sides and repeat with the other arm.
