What is the Chest Supported Cable Tricep Extension?

The Chest Supported Cable Tricep Extensions are an effective isolation exercise targeting the triceps. Suitable for all levels, it allows for superior control and a better muscle pump towards the end of the workout. It’s ideal for focused tricep work without overly engaging the shoulders.

How to properly perform the Chest Supported Cable Tricep Extension

  1. Set up a cable machine with a low pulley and attach a handle.
  2. Adjust the bench or platform to a comfortable height so that your chest is supported.
  3. Grasp the handle with an overhand grip and position yourself facing away from the machine.
  4. Place your elbows against the pad and keep your upper arms parallel to the ground.
  5. Extend your arms straight down, squeezing your triceps.
  6. Slowly return to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the movement.
  7. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
