What is the Chin Ups?

The chin-ups primarily target the biceps and back muscles. This bodyweight exercise is an excellent way to build upper body strength and improve muscular endurance.

How to properly perform the Chin Ups

  1. Hang from a pull-up bar with your palms facing towards you and your hands shoulder-width apart.
  2. Engage your core and pull your body upward, leading with your chest and pulling your chin above the bar.
  3. Pause briefly at the top, then lower your body back down to the starting position with control.
  4. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
