How to properly perform the Reverse Grip Dumbbell Preacher Curls

  1. Sit on a preacher curl bench and position one upper arm on the angled pad, with your chest pressed against it.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in one hand with a reverse grip (palm facing up).
  3. Keeping your upper arm stationary, exhale and curl the dumbbell up towards your shoulder while contracting your bicep.
  4. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then inhale and slowly lower the dumbbell back down to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions on one side, then switch arms and perform the exercise with the other hand.
