The incline dumbbell tricep extensions are perfect for specifically targeting the triceps. The incline enhances the focus on the long head of the triceps. This exercise requires good technique to effectively isolate the muscle and can be an excellent addition to your routine to maximize arm development.
How to properly perform the Incline Dumbbell Tricep Extensions
- Set an incline bench at a moderate incline (around 45 degrees).
- Sit on the bench with a dumbbell in each hand and your palms facing inwards.
- Extend your arms fully overhead, keeping your upper arms close to your head and your elbows pointing forward.
- Bend your elbows and lower the dumbbells down towards the sides of your head, maintaining control.
- Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement, then extend your arms to raise the dumbbells back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
