What is the Incline Barbell Skull Crushers?

The incline barbell skull crushers, commonly known as skull crushers, are an excellent triceps exercise that effectively targets the long head of the triceps. This exercise is perfect for adding mass and definition to the back of the arms and is often used mid or late workout for maximum muscle pump.

How to properly perform the Incline Barbell Skull Crushers

  1. Set an incline bench to a moderate angle (around 30-45 degrees).
  2. Lie back on the bench and hold a barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  3. Extend your arms straight up over your chest, keeping your elbows fixed in position.
  4. Slowly lower the barbell towards your forehead by bending your elbows, keeping your upper arms stationary.
  5. Pause when the barbell is just above your forehead, then extend your elbows to raise the barbell back to the starting position.
