What is the Reverse Fly?

The reverse fly is a strength training exercise aimed at targeting the muscles at the back of your shoulders and the upper back. This exercise is ideal for correcting postural imbalances and enhancing scapular stability.

How to properly perform the Reverse Fly

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with an underhand grip, palms facing forward.
  2. Keep your back straight and engage your core.
  3. Curl the barbell upward by bending your elbows, keeping your upper arms stationary.
  4. Squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement.
  5. Lower the barbell back down in a controlled manner.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
