How to properly perform the Smith Shrug Back
- Set a Smith bar at waist height.

- Grab the bar with a grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Keeping your arms straight, lift the bar by contracting your traps.
- Hold the contraction at the top of the movement, then lower slowly.
