What is the Barbell Front Raises?

The barbell front raises are an effective exercise to target the anterior part of the shoulder muscles. Easy to incorporate into a workout routine, this exercise helps strengthen and build the shoulder while slightly engaging the trapezius muscles.

How to properly perform the Barbell Front Raises

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell with an overhand grip, palms facing down.
  2. Keep your arms straight and raise the barbell directly in front of you, lifting it to shoulder level.
  3. Pause briefly at the top, then lower the barbell back down to the starting position.
  4. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
