What is the Bodyweight Squats?
The bodyweight squats are a fundamental exercise for strengthening and toning the leg and glute muscles. Ideal for all fitness levels, this exercise requires no equipment and can be performed anywhere. Squats help improve core stability and increase hip mobility while burning calories.
How to properly perform the Bodyweight Squats
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out.
- Place your hands on your hips or extend them in front of you for balance.
- Engage your core and push your hips back, bending your knees to lower your body into a squat position.
- Keep your chest up and your weight in your heels.
- Lower yourself as far as you comfortably can, or until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- Push through your heels to return to the starting position, extending your hips and knees.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
