What is the Laying Hamstring Stretch?

The laying hamstring stretch is a fundamental flexibility exercise essential for enhancing the elasticity of the muscles in the back of the thigh. This exercise also engages the lower back muscles, allowing them to relax and increase overall mobility.

How to properly perform the Laying Hamstring Stretch

  1. Lie flat on your back on the floor with your legs extended.
  2. Flex one knee and bring it towards your chest, hugging it with both hands.
  3. Keep your extended leg straight and relaxed on the floor.
  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, feeling a gentle pull in the back of your thigh.
  5. Repeat with the other leg.
