What is the Narrow Grip Incline Press Ups?

The narrow grip incline press ups are an excellent strength training exercise targeting the triceps and the upper chest. Suitable for both beginners and advanced athletes, this exercise enhances pushing strength while reducing shoulder strain compared to traditional push-ups.

How to properly perform the Narrow Grip Incline Press Ups

  1. Place your hands on an elevated surface, such as a bench or step, slightly narrower than shoulder-width apart.
  2. Position your body in a straight line from head to toe, with your feet extended behind you and your arms fully extended.
  3. Engage your core and lower your chest towards the elevated surface by bending your elbows.
  4. Keep your elbows close to your body as you descend.
  5. Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement, then push through your palms to extend your arms and return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
