The seated dumbbell rear delt flyes, also known as reverse flyes, are an essential isolation exercise to strengthen the back of the shoulders. This exercise can help balance shoulder development and prevent injuries.
How to properly perform the Seated Dumbbell Rear Delt Flyes
- Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor and your back straight.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand and let your arms hang down by your sides with your palms facing in.
- Keeping a slight bend in your elbows, raise your arms out to the sides until they are parallel to the floor.
- Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
