What is the Wide Grip Pull Ups?
The wide grip pull-ups are a fundamental exercise for developing the upper back. Besides engaging the lats, this exercise strengthens the arm muscles and improves shoulder stability.
How to properly perform the Wide Grip Pull Ups
- Start by hanging from a pull-up bar with your palms facing away from you and your hands placed wider than shoulder-width apart.
- Engage your back muscles and squeeze your shoulder blades together as you pull your body upward.
- Continue pulling until your chin is above the bar or as high as you can comfortably go.
- Lower your body back down with control, fully extending your arms.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
