What is the High Grip Dumbbell Squats?

The high grip dumbbell squats are an excellent strength training exercise that primarily targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Suitable for all levels, this exercise contributes not only to strength but also to balance and overall fitness.

How to properly perform the High Grip Dumbbell Squats

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height, palms facing inward.
  2. Engage your core and keep your chest up as you lower your body into a squat, pushing your hips back and bending your knees.
  3. Lower yourself as far as you comfortably can, keeping your heels on the ground and your knees aligned with your toes.
  4. Drive through your heels to push yourself back up to the starting position, extending your hips and knees.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
