What is the Single Arm Kettlebell Swings?

The single arm kettlebell swing is a functional exercise that engages the muscles of the legs, hips, and core. This exercise enhances explosive power and coordination while improving overall stability. Suitable for all levels, it helps build strength and balance.

How to properly perform the Single Arm Kettlebell Swings

  1. Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and a kettlebell on the floor in front of you.
  2. With one hand, grip the kettlebell handle and hinge at your hips, keeping your back straight and core engaged.
  3. Swing the kettlebell back between your legs, maintaining a slight bend in your knees.
  4. Using the power of your hips, drive the kettlebell forward and upward, extending your hips and knees.
  5. At the top of the swing, the kettlebell should be at chest level, parallel to the ground.
  6. Allow the kettlebell to swing back down between your legs and repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
