What is the Standing Toe Touch?

The standing toe touch is a flexibility and stretching exercise that primarily targets the hamstrings and lower back. This exercise is suitable for all fitness levels and is particularly useful for improving flexibility and reducing muscle tension.

How to properly perform the Standing Toe Touch

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms hanging by your sides.
  2. Keeping your legs straight, slowly bend forward from the waist, reaching towards your toes.
  3. Try to touch your toes or reach as far as you comfortably can.
  4. Hold the stretched position for a few seconds, feeling the stretch in your hamstrings and lower back.
  5. Slowly return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
