What is the Kettlebell Goblet Squat?

The Kettlebell Goblet Squat is a versatile exercise that mainly strengthens the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Beginner-friendly due to the front-loaded position, it also allows advanced athletes to efficiently work by increasing the resistance. In addition to the lower body, it engages the core muscles to maintain stability and proper posture throughout the movement.

How to properly perform the Kettlebell Goblet Squat

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell by the horns close to your chest.
  2. Keep your chest up, core engaged, and feet flat on the ground.
  3. Initiate the squat by pushing your hips back and bending your knees, maintaining a neutral spine.
  4. Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the ground or slightly below.
  5. Pause briefly at the bottom, then push through your heels to return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
