What is the Kneeling Tricep Kickbacks?

The dumbbell kickback is an isolation exercise targeting primarily the triceps muscle. This exercise is ideal for developing the back part of the arm and is suitable for athletes of all levels. The kneeling tricep kickback offers improved stability and more precise targeting of the triceps.

How to properly perform the Kneeling Tricep Kickbacks

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and slightly bend your knees.
  2. Hinge forward at your hips, keeping your back straight and parallel to the ground.
  3. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and bring your upper arms close to your sides, with your elbows bent at a 90-degree angle.
  4. Extend your arms straight back, keeping your upper arms stationary.
  5. Pause for a moment at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
