What is the TRX Pistol Squat Jumps?

The TRX Pistol Squat Jumps are a plyometric exercise that adds cardiovascular intensity and power to your workout. Primarily targeting the quadriceps and glutes, this exercise also enhances balance and stability.

How to properly perform the TRX Pistol Squat Jumps

  1. Adjust the TRX straps to a length that allows you to hold onto them while keeping tension on the straps.
  2. Stand facing away from the anchor point, holding onto the TRX straps with your arms extended in front of you.
  3. Shift your weight onto one leg and extend the other leg straight out in front of you.
  4. Lower into a pistol squat by bending your supporting leg while keeping the other leg extended.
  5. Push through your heel and explode upwards into a jump, driving your extended leg up towards your chest.
  6. Land softly on your supporting leg and immediately lower back into a pistol squat.
  7. Repeat the pistol squat jumps for the recommended number of repetitions, then switch legs.
