What is the Alternating Heel Touches?

The alternating heel touches are excellent for targeting the oblique abdominal muscles. This bodyweight exercise is perfect for both beginners and advanced athletes looking to tone their abs. Adding this exercise to your routine helps improve core stability and oblique strength.

How to properly perform the Alternating Heel Touches

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Place your arms alongside your body, palms down.
  3. Contract your abdominal muscles and lift your shoulders and head slightly off the floor.
  4. Keeping the abs engaged, reach one arm to touch the opposite heel, then return to the starting position.
