The flat bench lying leg raises is a muscle-building exercise that primarily targets the abdominal muscles, especially the lower abs. Ideal for athletes of all levels, this exercise can be used to strengthen and tone the core muscles. Besides the abdominals, it also activates the hip flexors.
How to properly perform the Flat Bench Lying Leg Raises
- Lie flat on a bench with your legs extended and your hands holding the sides of the bench for support.
- Keep your legs straight and raise them up towards the ceiling, lifting your hips off the bench.
- Pause at the top of the movement, then lower your legs back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
