What is the Inchworm Waist?

The inchworm exercise is a bodyweight dynamic movement that combines planking and flexibility, also known as the inchworm. It's excellent for warm-up and mobility improvement. This move primarily targets the core and shoulder muscles, with a slight cardio aspect due to its flowing and continuous nature.

How to properly perform the Inchworm Waist

  1. Start in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Slowly bend forward at the waist, keeping your legs straight, and walk your hands forward until you are in a plank position.
  3. Hold the plank position for a moment, then walk your hands back towards your feet.
  4. Stand up straight to complete one repetition.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
