What is the Seated Leg Curl?

The seated leg curl is an isolation exercise specifically targeting the hamstring muscles. This exercise is ideal for increasing the strength and flexibility of the muscles at the back of the thigh, essential for muscular balance in the legs.

How to properly perform the Seated Leg Curl

  1. Sit on the seated leg curl machine with your legs extended in front of you and your feet against the rollers.
  2. Place your hands on the handles to keep your body stable.
  3. Contract your hamstrings to bend your knees and bring the rollers toward your buttocks.
  4. Pause briefly at the top of the contraction, then slowly lower the rollers back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
