What is the Cable Incline Bench Press?

The cable incline bench press is a compound exercise that primarily targets the upper chest muscles. Suitable for all levels, this exercise allows for controlled and consistent work on the chest muscles thanks to the continuous tension of the cables.

How to properly perform the Cable Incline Bench Press

  1. Adjust the incline bench to a comfortable angle.
  2. Attach the handles to the high pulleys of the cable machine.
  3. Sit on the incline bench with your back firmly supported and your feet flat on the floor.
  4. Grasp the handles with a pronated grip (palms facing forward) and position them just above shoulder height.
  5. Take a deep breath, brace your core, and press the handles forward in a controlled manner.
  6. Extend your arms fully, feeling the contraction in your chest muscles.
  7. Pause briefly at the end of the movement, then slowly release the handles back to the starting position.
  8. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
