What is the EZ Bar Upright Rows?
The EZ bar upright rows are a compound exercise that primarily targets the shoulder muscles and the upper back. Suitable for all levels, this exercise is excellent for enhancing the strength and definition of the deltoids and trapezius muscles. Additionally, it also engages the biceps for a complete muscle activation.
How to properly perform the EZ Bar Upright Rows
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold an EZ bar with an overhand grip, hands slightly narrower than shoulder-width.
- Let the bar hang in front of your thighs with your arms fully extended.
- Keeping your back straight, exhale and lift the bar straight up towards your chin, leading with your elbows.
- Pause for a moment at the top of the movement, squeezing your shoulder muscles.
- Inhale and slowly lower the bar back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, focusing on maintaining proper form and control throughout the exercise.
