What is the Seated Dumbbell Front Raises?

The seated dumbbell front raises are an excellent isolation exercise that effectively targets the anterior part of the deltoid muscles. This exercise is particularly useful for improving shoulder stability and can be adjusted to different fitness levels by varying the weight of the dumbbells. Both beginners and advanced athletes can benefit from this exercise to achieve an optimal muscle pump at the end of their workouts.

How to properly perform the Seated Dumbbell Front Raises

  1. Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor, holding a dumbbell in each hand with a neutral grip.
  2. Keep your back straight and engage your core.
  3. Start with your arms hanging down in front of you, palms facing your thighs.
  4. Slowly lift the dumbbells up in front of you, with a slight bend in your elbows, until they reach shoulder height.
  5. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, squeezing your shoulder muscles.
  6. Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
  7. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
