What is the Banded Good Mornings?

The Banded Good Mornings are a fundamental exercise for strengthening the posterior chain, particularly targeting the hamstrings, glutes, and lower back. This exercise is excellent for improving stability and flexibility, while minimizing injury risks due to the progressive tension provided by the resistance band.

How to properly perform the Banded Good Mornings

  1. Start by placing a resistance band around your neck and standing with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Step on the band with your feet to create tension.
  3. Hinge forward at your hips, keeping your back straight and core engaged.
  4. Lower your torso until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings, but maintain tension in the band.
  5. Reverse the movement by extending your hips and returning to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
