How to properly perform the Barbell Shoulder Press (Behind The Head)
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell with a wide overhand grip, resting it on your upper back.
- Engage your core, keep your back straight, and lift the barbell off the rack or the floor, positioning it behind your head.
- Bend your knees slightly and keep your elbows pointing forward.
- Press the barbell upward until your arms are fully extended overhead.
- Pause briefly at the top, then lower the barbell back down behind your head to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
