What is the Bodyweight Bridges?

The bodyweight bridges are an excellent strength training exercise primarily targeting the glute muscles and hamstrings. This exercise is ideal for strengthening the lower body while improving core stability. Suitable for athletes of all levels, it can be performed anywhere without specific equipment.

How to properly perform the Bodyweight Bridges

  1. Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground, hip-width apart.
  2. Place your arms by your sides, palms facing down.
  3. Engage your glutes and core, and press through your heels to lift your hips off the ground, forming a straight line from your knees to your shoulders.
  4. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then lower your hips back down to the starting position with control.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, focusing on maintaining proper form and engaging your glutes and core throughout the exercise.
