What is the Rear Delt Flyes (Dynaband)?

The rear delt flyes using a Dynaband are an ideal isolation exercise for targeting the rear part of the shoulders. This exercise is especially useful to improve posture and strengthen shoulder muscles. Using a band provides progressive resistance that effectively works the posterior deltoids.

How to properly perform the Rear Delt Flyes (Dynaband)

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and place the Dynaband under your feet.
  2. Grasp the ends of the Dynaband with your hands and bring them up to shoulder level, palms facing down.
  3. Keep your core engaged and your back straight.
  4. From this starting position, squeeze your shoulder blades together and pull the Dynaband out to the sides, keeping your arms straight.
  5. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then slowly release and return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
