How to properly perform the Single Leg Dumbbell Seated Calf Raises

  1. Sit on a bench or chair with your feet flat on the floor and hold a dumbbell on one knee, just above your ankle.
  2. Extend one leg straight out in front of you, keeping your other foot flat on the floor.
  3. Press through the ball of your foot, raising your heel as high as possible while keeping your leg straight.
  4. Pause at the top of the movement, then slowly lower your heel back down to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, then switch legs and repeat.
