How to properly perform the Warrior Pose I (Virabhadrasana I)

  1. To perform this pose, start by standing in Tadasana (Mountain Pose).
  2. Widen your feet approximately 1.20 to 1.30 meters apart, depending on your height.
  3. While spreading your feet, swing your arms in a wide circle and extend them horizontally to open your chest and heart.
  4. Inhale and raise your arms toward the ceiling, pressing your palms together and tucking your thumbs.
  5. Bend your front knee so that it is directly above your ankle, while keeping your hips perpendicular to your front foot.
  6. Keep your back straight and avoid arching it.
