What is the Banded Hip Thrust?

The banded hip thrust is an excellent exercise to strengthen and build the glute muscles. This movement is particularly effective for enhancing hip and glute activation, and it is suitable for all training levels.

How to properly perform the Banded Hip Thrust

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart.
  2. Place a resistance band just above your knees.
  3. Press through your heels and lift your hips towards the ceiling, squeezing your glutes at the top.
  4. Lower your hips back down to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
