What is the Barbell Lunges (same foot)?
The barbell lunges are an excellent compound exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the legs, especially the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. This exercise requires good balance and coordination, making it perfect for developing lower body strength and muscle mass.
How to properly perform the Barbell Lunges (same foot)
- Place a loaded barbell on the upper traps, positioning yourself underneath it.
- Step your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned forward.
- Take a large step forward with one leg.
- Bend your knees and lower your body until your front knee is bent at approximately a 90-degree angle.
- Push through your front heel to return to the standing position.
- Repeat the movement with the other leg, alternating sides.
- Repeat the movement for the recommended number of repetitions on each side.
