How to properly perform the Chest Supported Dumbbell Rear Delt Flyes

  1. Adjust the chest-supported fly machine so that your chest is supported and your feet are planted on the floor.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with a neutral grip.
  3. Extend your arms straight down with a slight bend at the elbows.
  4. Keep your back straight and chest supported throughout the movement.
  5. With control, raise your arms out to the sides, leading with your elbows, until your upper arms are parallel to the floor.
  6. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement.
  7. Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
  8. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
