What is the Double Kettlebell Hang Cleans?

The kettlebell clean is a highly effective power exercise targeting both the lower and upper body muscles. Ideal for advanced athletes, this exercise builds explosive strength and enhances coordination and agility. Besides working the leg muscles, it also engages the shoulders, biceps, and core muscles.

How to properly perform the Double Kettlebell Hang Cleans

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a kettlebell in each hand at arm's length, hanging just below your hips.
  2. Initiate the movement by explosively extending your hips, knees, and ankles while shrugging your shoulders and pulling the kettlebells up towards your shoulders.
  3. As the kettlebells reach chest level, quickly rotate your elbows around and under the bells, catching them at shoulder height with your palms facing inward.
  4. Lower the kettlebells back to the starting position by reversing the movement, keeping your core engaged and maintaining control.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining proper form and control throughout.
