What is the Dumbbell Seated Alternate Front Raise?
The dumbbell seated alternate front raise is an effective isolation exercise targeting the anterior part of the shoulder muscles. This exercise is excellent for developing strength and improving shoulder stability while minimizing lower body involvement.
How to properly perform the Dumbbell Seated Alternate Front Raise
- Sit on a bench with your back straight and feet firmly on the floor.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand with an overhand grip, resting them on your thighs.
- Keeping your arms straight and palms facing your body, exhale and lift one dumbbell in front of you until it reaches shoulder level.
- Pause briefly at the top, then inhale and slowly lower the dumbbell back down to your thigh.
- Repeat the movement with the other arm, alternating sides with each repetition.
- Continue alternating arms for the recommended number of repetitions, focusing on maintaining proper form and control throughout the exercise.
