What is the TRX Curtsy Squats?

The TRX Curtsy Squats are a beneficial exercise for targeting leg muscles and enhancing balance. This exercise particularly focuses on the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Ideal for intermediate and advanced practitioners, it also works on coordination and stability.

How to properly perform the TRX Curtsy Squats

  1. Start by adjusting the TRX straps to mid-length.
  2. Stand facing the anchor point with your feet hip-width apart.
  3. Hold the TRX handles with your palms facing each other, arms extended in front of you.
  4. Take a step back and diagonally across with your right leg, crossing it behind your left leg, as if performing a curtsy.
  5. Bend your knees and lower your body into a squat, keeping your chest lifted and your weight in your front heel.
  6. Push through your front heel and return to the starting position.
  7. Repeat the movement on the other side, stepping back and diagonally across with your left leg.
  8. Continue alternating sides for the recommended number of repetitions.
