What is the Alternate Incline Bicep Curls?

The alternate incline bicep curls are an effective isolation exercise mainly targeting the biceps. Performing this exercise on an incline bench ensures constant tension on the muscles throughout the entire movement, maximizing effectiveness and allowing for a full stretch at the bottom. Suitable for athletes of all levels looking to increase both strength and muscle mass.

How to properly perform the Alternate Incline Bicep Curls

  1. Set an incline bench to a 45-degree angle.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and sit on the incline bench with your back against the bench.
  3. Let your arms hang by your sides, palms facing forward.
  4. Keeping your upper arms still, exhale as you curl one dumbbell towards your shoulder while rotating your forearm so that your palm faces your shoulder at the top of the curl.
  5. Inhale as you lower the dumbbell back down with control.
  6. Repeat on the other side, alternating arms with each repetition.
  7. Continue alternating arms for the recommended number of repetitions.
