What is the Front Incline Dumbbell Raise?
The Front Incline Dumbbell Raise is an isolation exercise for the shoulder muscles. This exercise specifically targets the anterior parts of the shoulders and helps strengthen the upper body. Ideal for intermediate and advanced practitioners, it adds an extra dimension by inclining the bench, thereby increasing the difficulty and effectiveness of the exercise.
How to properly perform the Front Incline Dumbbell Raise
- Set an incline bench at a 45-degree angle.
- Grab a dumbbell in each hand and sit on the bench with your back against the incline.
- Keep your feet flat on the floor and hold the dumbbells at your sides, palms facing your body.
- With a slight bend in your elbows, raise the dumbbells in front of you, keeping them parallel to the ground.
- Continue lifting until your arms are parallel to the floor, or slightly higher.
- Pause for a moment, then slowly lower the dumbbells back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
